On Friday the girls had dentists appointments. Both of them had great reports and no cavities! On Monday, we headed to the doctor for Isaac's 18 month appointment and an ear follow up for Lydia. Isaac is proving to be tall and lean. He weighed in at almost 25 pounds (25 %) and 33 1/4 inches tall (75th %). He could say his three words, scribble, point to body parts, climb up and down stairs, and run. We are thankful for a healthy, active little boy. Although I thought he would be much heavier because he's so solid:)
Next, it was Lydia's turn to have her ears examined. Hallelujah! They were CLEAR!! I guess from now on we know that Zythromax (sp??) is the right antibiotic for her. I am so thankful we don't have to worry about tubes for right now anyway. We are just praying her ears remain clear through the cold and flu season.
Speaking of colds, all three kids and myself have colds right now. In fact, on Sunday Ava woke up with her cold. I felt bad because she was SO uncomfortable. It's usually more uncomfortable for her due to her Asthma issues. That night was the first night all winter that we had to use the nebulizer to open her airways. In the evening she wasn't as active and her face was so pale! We could tell right before she went to bed that she was having difficulty breathing. We actually let her sleep on the floor of our bedroom next to the humidifier. She woke up feeling much better and back to her cheerful self.
Now, with ACS and several other schools closing the night before, we are all looking forward to some family time tomorrow as we enjoy the Blizzard of 2011 from the comfort of our home. We are looking forward to watching movies, having popcorn, playing games, and doing some crafts:)
